Air Liquide has reached final investment decision on a project to supply ultra-pure gases to semiconductor manufacturers in Southern Japan. The investment supports the growing demand for electronic specialty gases driven by semiconductor fab expansions in the region.
Ultra-pure gases are critical inputs for semiconductor manufacturing processes including etching, deposition and lithography. Air Liquide operates several electronic gas plants globally and continues to expand capacity in key semiconductor clusters.
Japan has been expanding semiconductor production capacity with government support, driving demand for high-purity gas supply infrastructure.
