Multiple international chemical companies, including BASF, Wanhua Chemical, Huntsman and Dow, have issued price adjustment announcements for polyurethane series products covering ASEAN, South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
Starting Sept. 11, 2026, BASF raised prices of Lupranate MDI and TDI basic products in ASEAN and South Asian countries by $250 per tonne, citing continued increases in raw material, transportation and energy costs.
From Sept. 14, 2026, Wanhua Chemical increased MDI by $300 per tonne, TDI by $300 per tonne and polyether polyol by $400 per tonne in Southeast Asia and South Asian markets.
Huntsman said it would raise all MDI products in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region by €285 per tonne from Oct. 1, 2026, or as per contract.
Dow Europe had earlier announced increases of €250 per tonne for all polyols, €200 per tonne for all MDI and MDI-based products, and €150 per tonne for all polyurethane system materials, citing rising energy, raw material and logistics costs in Europe.
