Eastern Shenghong completed planned maintenance and technical upgrades at its 16 million tonnes per year Shenghong refining and petrochemical integrated complex. The net maintenance period was approximately 45 days. The company stated that maintenance and technical modification work had been fully completed and that it would resume production in accordance with its operating plan.
The complex is one of China's largest private refining and petrochemical projects, producing fuels, aromatics and olefins. The extended turnaround removed significant product supply from Asian markets during August, contributing to tighter balances in some petrochemical chains.
