ENEOS builds methylcyclohexane demonstration plant in Australia

ENEOS Corp. has constructed a large-scale demonstration plant in Queensland, Australia, to produce methylcyclohexane (MCH), a hydrogen carrier.

The plant uses ENEOS's proprietary electrochemical synthesis method. Following trial runs, demonstration operations are scheduled to begin in January 2027.

MCH is used as a liquid organic hydrogen carrier for transporting hydrogen.
