Fine Chemistry Firm Zhenhua Acquires Chromium Salt Assets from Baiyin Changyuan

Zhenhua Co. said on 2 November 2026 that in the third quarter it acquired chromium salt-related operating assets of Baiyin Changyuan Chemical Co. for RMB 143 million in cash, and that asset handover is essentially complete.

Through the transaction, the company also obtained the target assets' key clean-production processes and technology for chromium salts, strengthening its clean technology portfolio.

The company said it will build on four production bases in Huangshi (Hubei), Tongnan (Chongqing), Turpan (Xinjiang) and Baiyin (Gansu) to upgrade chromium salt manufacturing and expand into global markets.

Chromium salts are used in pigments, leather tanning, plating, refractories and other applications.

The acquisition consolidates Zhenhua's position in the Chinese chromium chemicals sector.
