Global diesel supply tightened as geopolitical risks elevated crude prices. Houthi attacks on Saudi oil facilities and repeated attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz raised the geopolitical supply premium. Brent crude reached $109.86 per barrel and WTI $101.41 per barrel as of Oct. 16, up sharply from the prior week. The tighter diesel supply outlook has implications for chemical feedstock costs and logistics across the industry.
