Honeywell Technologies announced a collaboration with Hengyi Industries Sdn. Bhd. of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, to provide advanced process technologies, licensing, engineering, proprietary equipment, catalysts and technical support services for the second phase of the Pulau Muara Besar petrochemical project, according to a ChemWeek report dated Oct. 19, 2026.
The partnership aims to enhance efficiency and reliability while enabling production of higher-value petrochemicals. Upon completion of phase two, PMB will reach an annual crude-processing capacity of approximately 20 million metric tons.
The collaboration builds on the phase one relationship, in which Honeywell Technologies supplied process technologies, engineering design, key equipment, catalysts and adsorbents, operator training and technical services for startup and ongoing operations.
No contract value or completion date was disclosed.
