Olefin product prices and spreads rose notably in China during the week due to supply contraction. Polyolefin spot supply was tight, pushing prices higher. Domestic EVA petrochemical plant shutdowns increased, sharply reducing spot supply and driving prices significantly higher. Pure benzene port inventories remained at low levels, supporting a continued upward price trend. Styrene prices and spreads rose. Acrylonitrile, polycarbonate and MMA prices were stable to higher, though spreads narrowed.
