Perstorp said it will increase prices for neopentyl glycol, pentaerythritol and trimethylolpropane effective Oct. 1, 2026, or as existing contracts allow. Prices rise EUR 150/t in EMEA, $0.08/lb in the Americas and $175/t in APAC.
The company attributed the increases to a rapidly evolving global cost environment.
Perstorp Oxo AB also announced global increases for oxo chemicals and plasticizers, effective immediately or as contracts allow. 2-Ethylhexanoic acid rises EUR 180/t in Europe, $0.05/lb in the US and $210/t in the rest of the world.
Other increases include 2-ethylhexanol, 2-propylheptanol up EUR 100/t in Europe and $150/t elsewhere, n-butyraldehyde up EUR 150/t in Europe and $180/t elsewhere, and propionic acid up EUR 50/t in Europe and $150/t elsewhere.
Perstorp attributed the oxo and plasticizer increases to sharply rising raw material and energy prices driven by the re-escalation of the Middle East conflict.
