Perstorp said it will increase prices for neopentyl glycol, pentaerythritol and trimethylolpropane by €150 per metric ton in EMEA, $0.08 per pound in the Americas and $175/mt in APAC, effective Oct. 1, 2026, or as existing contracts allow. The company attributed the increases to a rapidly evolving global cost environment.
Perstorp Oxo AB also announced global increases for a range of oxo chemicals and plasticizers, effective immediately or as contracts allow. 2-Ethylhexanoic acid will rise by €180/mt in Europe, $0.05/lb in the United States and $210/mt in the rest of the world.
2-Propylheptanol will increase by €100/mt in Europe and $150/mt in the rest of the world, n-butyraldehyde by €150/mt in Europe and $180/mt elsewhere, propionic acid by €50/mt in Europe and $150/mt elsewhere, and propionaldehyde by €70/mt in Europe and $200/mt elsewhere. n-Butyric acid will rise by €130/mt in Europe and $150/mt in the rest of the world.
Perstorp attributed the oxo chemicals and plasticizers increases to sharply rising raw material and energy prices driven by the re-escalation of the Middle East conflict. The increases affect customers in coatings, plasticizers, lubricants and other industrial applications.
