ReNaTe received funding approval from the European Regional Development Fund to valorize PET side streams, according to a weekly industry roundup. The project aims to recover value from PET production and recycling residues.
PET is one of the most widely recycled plastics, but side streams and contaminated fractions often go to landfill or incineration. Valorization technologies can improve the economics of PET recycling and reduce waste. EU funding supports early-stage circular economy projects that may struggle to attract private capital alone.
