Shandong Fuyu Chemical scheduled a 30-day turnaround at its 180,000 tonnes per year bisphenol A unit starting August 23, 2026, according to OilChem data. The unit is located in Shandong province, a major chemical production hub in China.
The turnaround was part of at least eight BPA maintenance events in China during August 2026, collectively removing approximately 1.8 million tonnes per year of capacity from the market. The concentration of turnarounds followed a period of weak BPA margins and oversupply.
