Solvay said the ongoing Middle East conflict had a negative impact of about EUR 25 million on underlying EBITDA in Q3 2026, after roughly EUR 20 million in Q2, mainly due to the continued shutdown of the peroxide plant at the Sadara complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
That shutdown accounted for close to EUR 15 million of the Q3 impact. The Sadara joint venture is majority-owned by Saudi Aramco, and Solvay said the contractual framework includes mechanisms designed to recover lost profitability.
Preliminary Q3 2026 figures showed underlying net sales of EUR 1.03 billion, underlying EBITDA of EUR 173 million and free cash flow to Solvay shareholders from continuing operations of EUR 54 million.
Full-year 2026 guidance was updated to underlying EBITDA of EUR 720-740 million and free cash flow of EUR 120-150 million, excluding potential revenue or recovery measures from Sadara and net of about EUR 90 million of transformation expenses.
Solvay said it remains committed to its transformation and cost savings targets, and will publish full Q3 results on November 4, 2026.
