Technip Energies has been awarded a contract to deliver the license, process design package (PDP) and front-end engineering design (FEED) for Petkim's Aliaga petrochemical complex in Turkey. The complex includes an ethylene cracker and polyolefin units.
The award is part of a broader wave of project activity in the petrochemical sector. Technip Energies has also recently agreed to license SABIC's CTR LDPE technology worldwide.
The Aliaga complex is expected to strengthen Turkey's domestic petrochemical production capacity and reduce reliance on imports for polyolefins and related materials.
