thyssenkrupp nucera has won a chlor-alkali order from Hongniu for the Lanzhou chlor-alkali project in China. The order covers electrolysis technology for chlorine and caustic soda production.
Chlor-alkali is a fundamental electrochemical process producing chlorine and sodium hydroxide, used across water treatment, plastics, pharmaceuticals and many other industries. thyssenkrupp nucera supplies electrolyzers for both chlor-alkali and green hydrogen applications.
The order adds to the company's project pipeline in China, where demand for efficient electrochemical plants remains strong despite broader economic uncertainties.
