The MOU was signed by Vinachem CEO Nguyen Huu Tu and Air Liquide executive vice president Gert Jan Ten Cate at a high-level dialogue in Brussels witnessed by Vietnamese leaders and European and Belgian business representatives.
The parties will explore upgrades to air separation systems, argon recovery and clean energy solutions. They also plan to exchange experience and study possible cooperation in hydrogen, ammonia, low-carbon and renewable hydrogen for emissions reduction in industry and energy value chains.
Vinachem said Air Liquide is the world's second-largest industrial gas group and has been present in Vietnam for more than 25 years. Technical workshops are planned, starting with priority issues at nitrogen fertilizer production sites.
The cooperation is intended to support energy efficiency, optimize industrial production and advance a sustainable energy transition. No financial terms or binding project commitments were disclosed.
