Wanhua Chemical Group began a 45-day maintenance turnaround at its 576,000 tonnes per year bisphenol A unit on August 10, 2026, according to OilChem data. The unit is one of the largest BPA plants in China.
The extended maintenance period removed significant supply from the Chinese market during August and September. Wanhua is China's largest BPA producer and a major integrated chemical company with polyurethane, petrochemical and fine chemical operations.
