Using the marketplace
What is FineChem.net?
FineChem.net is a global chemical B2B marketplace. It brings product discovery, supplier profiles, trade opportunities, RFQs, price information and document tools into one platform. It is an information and technology platform, not a party to the transactions it helps facilitate.
Who uses FineChem.net?
Buyers and procurement teams, manufacturers and suppliers, distributors and trade partners. The common thread is business-to-business chemical sourcing and supply across borders.
Do I need an account?
Much of the catalogue and company directory is public. An account is needed to post RFQs, manage a storefront, respond to opportunities, upload documents or use member workspaces.
Is registration free?
Creating an account and opening a storefront is free. Any paid promotional placements are described separately; contact us for current availability and formats.
How do I find a product?
Search by product name, chemical name or CAS number, or browse the category structure. Open a chemical or product profile to see identifiers and supplier listings, then review the supplier profile before you enquire.
Suppliers and verification
Does FineChem.net verify suppliers?
Some companies complete a verification review. A verification badge records the steps completed at the time of review. It is not a guarantee of identity, solvency, quality, legality or future performance. Always carry out your own due diligence before contracting.
What does the verification badge mean?
It means the described review steps were completed at that point in time. It does not mean the company is endorsed by FineChem.net, and it does not replace your own checks. See Trust & Safety for the limits of verification.
Can I trust the product specifications in a listing?
Listings are user-submitted. Always request a current TDS, SDS or COA and confirm specifications, grade, packaging and lead time directly with the supplier before ordering.
How do I update my company profile?
Sign in and use the member workspace to keep your legal name, location, capabilities, contact details and supporting documents current. If you cannot access the workspace, contact us from your company email address.
RFQs, quotations and documents
How do RFQs work?
A buyer posts a requirement with the product, quantity, destination, commercial terms and timeline. Suppliers can respond with a quotation. FineChem.net provides the workflow but does not negotiate on either side or guarantee that a supplier will respond.
Can I compare quotations?
Yes. The quotation comparison tools help you view responses side by side. You should still confirm specifications, Incoterms, payment terms and lead times directly with the supplier; the platform does not validate a quotation.
What documents can I manage?
You can manage supporting files such as SDS, TDS, COA and other trade documents, subject to access controls. Only upload documents you are authorised to share.
Are uploaded files virus-scanned?
Uploads pass automated checks. Depending on the deployment configuration, files may be held for malware scanning before release. Where scanning is unavailable, only structural checks are performed. We do not claim that every file is virus-free, so treat downloads with normal caution.
Trust, compliance and transactions
Can I buy and pay directly on FineChem.net?
No. FineChem.net does not process payments, hold funds in escrow or act as buyer, seller, broker or agent. Commercial terms, payment and delivery are agreed directly between the buyer and the supplier.
Is compliance screening a legal clearance?
No. Screening is a triage aid. A "no match" result is not clearance, a legal opinion or a guarantee of regulatory compliance. Consult qualified counsel and the relevant authorities for your products and destinations.
Who arranges shipping, customs and insurance?
The buyer and supplier are responsible for their own logistics, customs formalities and insurance. FineChem.net does not arrange freight or customs clearance as a principal and does not provide binding insurance.
What should I do if a transaction goes wrong?
FineChem.net is not a party to your contract and cannot adjudicate disputes or recover funds. Raise the issue directly with your counterparty first. You can report platform conduct to us; we may review accounts for policy violations, but we cannot provide legal remedies.
Privacy, cookies and accounts
What personal data do you collect?
We collect the account, contact, company, listing and usage information needed to operate the platform and respond to enquiries. The Privacy Policy explains the categories, purposes and your choices.
Do you use cookies?
FineChem sets a session cookie named finechem_session to keep users signed in and to protect forms. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies ourselves. Google sign-in and third-party ad units may set their own cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
How do I request a copy or deletion of my data?
Email bd@finechem.net from the address associated with your account and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain certain records where the law requires it. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
Advertising, careers and contact
How can I advertise on FineChem.net?
Email bd@finechem.net or visit the Advertise page. Placements can include the homepage, product centre, market, supplier directory, news and exhibition pages. Availability and formats are discussed individually.
Are there current job openings?
No current vacancies are listed on the Careers page. We still welcome a short speculative introduction from people whose experience fits the work described there. FineChem.net never charges candidates a recruitment fee.
How do I report a security or trust issue?
Email bd@finechem.net with the relevant URL, a description of the issue and any supporting evidence. Do not send passwords or sensitive credentials. See Trust & Safety for reporting guidance.
How do I contact the team?
Use the contact form or email bd@finechem.net. Include the product, company or listing URL if your question relates to a specific record. Response times vary by topic.
