Aarti Industries announced on Oct. 13 a 10-plus-year dedicated manufacturing and supply agreement with a leading global specialty chemicals company, creating an estimated revenue opportunity of about ₹1,500 crore, or roughly $150 million, over the contract term.
Aarti will build, commission and operate a dedicated production facility in India for a specialty chemical used in high-performance applications, based on the customer's proprietary process technology. Capital expenditure is expected to remain below $25 million under a structured financing arrangement.
Commercial operations are planned for fiscal 2028-29, subject to obtaining necessary approvals. The company said localising production through a dedicated Indian facility will strengthen supply chain resilience and support the customer's growth plans in the country.
For Aarti, the deal expands its global customer base and reinforces its strategic manufacturing portfolio. Aarti operates about 16 manufacturing plants and produces downstream derivatives based on benzene and toluene, as well as sulphuric acid-based products, using processes including ammonolysis, chlorination, diazotisation, fluorination, hydrogenation and nitration.
