Olin and Huntsman Shareholders Approve Merger to Form OlinHuntsman

Olin Corporation and Huntsman Corporation shareholders approved their all-stock merger of equals on August 25, 2026, clearing the final major hurdle for the transaction. The combined company will be named OlinHuntsman.

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to receipt of required regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. Olin is a vertically integrated global manufacturer of chemical products including chlorine, caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies and chlorinated organics. Huntsman is a global manufacturer and marketer of diversified chemical products with 2025 revenues of approximately $6 billion from continuing operations.

The merger combines two major North American chemical producers at a time of margin pressure and overcapacity in several commodity chemical chains.
